I answered your first question. Maybe you should try plugging the video into the TV with a SCART cable and make sure that it actually works, before you try interconnecting them all?? You will have to select AV on the TV to use the SCART input.

I don't think I have seen a vcr with only one scart, does it, or the digibox have any other connectors, phono perhaps? Usually coloured white/yellow/red??

try this insert a playable video cassette into your video player push
play then with your t.v. remote go to av av1 av2 etc you then should see the video cassette playing on one of the av channels
