Hello,
My computer has a floppy disk drive a DVD drive and a CD drive. When I click on my computer only the floppy disk shows up under removable storage. My CD drive will not read CDs, this is because the computer doesn't detect that it is there. How in the hell do I get my computer to read the CD drive again so that I can install programs!! GAH!

Go to devce manager, un-install both optical drives, and then reboot the computer. If that doesn't work unplug the computer remove the side panel and look inside. See if there are any wires that are not plugged into the optical drives. The IDE wire (flat, beltlike wire) should be plugged into the drives and into the mainboard, the power wires should also be plugged in.

Sounds like you need to reinstall the required drivers for CD and DVD drives. These should have been included with your computer when you bought it. Unfortunately it's probably on a CD and since your computer won't recognize the CD how can you reinstall. Try the following:

Go to the computer manufacturers Web site and download the drivers from there. That way you can install them from your hard drive.

In windows click on start; control panel; add new hardware then select "search for new hardware". Windows should find the hardware and suggest your next steps.

i think of you would be projecting your frustrations onto an inanimate device right here. you're attributing to it the features of an agent, as in case your computing gadget is attempting to get you, possibly for writing stuff approximately, you recognize, evo ..... ion. shouldn't say the be conscious in case my computing gadget activates me too. surely, you have presented particularly a solid occasion of ways superstitions commence, and, in the event that they actually take off, replace into finished blown religions. Is that non secular sufficient for you, or could I come around and sprinkle some holy water on your device?

Smells like peanut farts to me. Have to go into the BIOS and enable them or check out the device manager.
