Grabbed James Parker's _Glossary of Terms Used in Heraldry_ to check a few references, since there's plenty of unusual critters showing up on armorial devices. Ran into specifics of satyr, centaur, sphynx, harpy, mermaid, siren, triton (mer-man), lampago (man-tiger), and chimera----but could not find a general term for "monstrous creature" here. (However, if you want specifics on what these things look like, heraldry's the place to look.)
If I remember my biology correctly, "chimera" is used to describe animals bred (created?) with genes from several parents-- recall reading about such mice in one of the science journals not too long ago----and it'd probably do as a basic catchterm if you can't find something better.
Good luck in the hunt!
PS: If you have any reasonable familiarity with classic languages, or know someone who does, why not see about *creating* a suitable term?---poly-somethingorother, or whatever sounds good and is descriptive of whatever it is....?

I accept as true with you,( concerning to the founding on formerly pagan religions) i'm a christian, maximum third international tribes stumbled on now could have their gods and goddess ideals.in simple terms because of the fact some human beings strayed and worshiped different gods would not recommend all did! i might say the catholic church of right this moment became into in line with a great style of superstition, i.e the Apocrypha, has spells in it. sure i've got self assurance God is the author of the Bible, i.e 'all scripture is given by potential of thought of God' person-friendly sense says if i've got self assurance the Bible is genuine i'd desire to have self assurance all of it's genuine! even nonetheless I even have not experienced those creatures myself!. i'm unable to CHERRY %.. the Bible is the two genuine or it is not.

chimera -
coming from mythology it consisted of the body of a goat, the head of a lion and a snakes tail.
you can also get biological tetragametic chimeras who have more than one strain of distinct dna in their bodies. this occurs when one twin gets absorbed into another in the womb.
