I'm flairy new to standard cars, what are the best ways not burn a clutch? How does it actually work and what are some ways to prolong the life of a clutch? Please respond, it's really appreciated.

once you get the car starting to roll let all the way out on the clutch,,riding it is what causes most of them to burn out and some people ride with one foot slightly on the clutch pedal,,this is bad for it,,always use it to get the car going and get off of it,until you need to sift,,and shift and let off off it don't try to ease it out once your rolling,change and let out on it,,it will take some getting used to,,but you,ll learn,good luck with it.

Drive it normal do not rev the engine and then pop the clutch,get a feel of the clutch and always release the clutch without giving lots of gas!! Once the clutch is fully released you can give as much gas as you want!!

when engaging and disengaging the clutch do it quickly as possible without upsetting the engine. Also don't drive with foot on the clutch pedal, this is called riding the clutch. Keep your foot off the pedal when not in use.....gl

do not give the car gas when clutch is engaged when you are pulling off the the car start rolling then let of the clutch and give it gas

don't ride the clutch.

make a speedy transition from one gear to another

learn to make a smooth and speedy start.

(burnt my first clutch doing #3)

don't ride the clutch it means engage fully each time u change gear
