Just like regular currency, certified money orders can, and are counterfeited. Postal Money Orders, and others, are certified, in that you have to use cash to purchase one.

Yes, a ceritified money order is drawn from a bank and the bank guarantees the money order to be good.

Sorry, but all money orders are not certified. Western Union or your local Post Office are not certified.

Certified money orders ALSO come from post offices... or some anyway,.... I cannot speak for ALL post offices. They work just like a check to the recipient...they can cash it at ANY bank.

There are alot of Certified Money Order scams going around right now. My company got ripped off of over $3600 on certified Money orders. They are hanging on the wall behind me, and are worth nothing. Beware.

All money orders are "certified" and are just like cash. Anyone can pick one up and cash it for money. No ID required.

yes, you can get them from banks, credit unions and other places.
Basically it is like a check, but it guaranteed to be good by the instituion, meaning it won't bounce
