There are a variety of reasons why he won't let you buy them. Care to elaborate?
If it is the expense, may I suggest just asking him to buy you the games from the previous year. Sporting titles are notorious for starting off super expensive, and dropping in price. For example: I just checked a used copy of Madden 2006 at EBGames.com, and the price was $12.99 used. If you already have this game, than you should become accustomed to waiting a year for the price drop. Sporting titles are just as fun a year later, no matter what the clerk at the videogame shop tell you, or what all your friends are playing. If expense is not an issue, read on.
Perhaps your father is not a videogamer, like you and me, and does not see the value in playing games. If that is the case, than let him know, there are older gamers such as myself, (I'm 41) who get a great value out of gaming with my kids. My son is 5, and been gaming with me, since he could sit in my lap. He held the controller since he was 2. I also had him on a DDR pad since he was 1. Let him know there are valuable lessons to be had by gaming with your kids. But limit it to weekend play. That's what I do. Sorry, I know this will conflict with your wishes, but at least you might get the game.
Ask him what is the reason you can't get the game. Discuss with him like an adult, and he might just surprise you with his answers.
Play with your friends who have a copy. Ask them to bring a copy over to your house, to play together. Bot don't borrow it. You might scratch the game and lose a friend.

Why won't your dad let you buy them? Do you have low/bad grades? Maybe you spend too much time playing video games? He must have a reason, so tell.
