Not all Native Americans have a problem with Columbus Day. I don't buy into the hype that he came here promoting genocide and was responsible for the death of millions of indigenous people. It's assinine to believe that he accidently landed here with that intention.

I am opposed to him being celebrated as the discoverer of the "New World" though. There were people already here so he didn't discover it. I do think a lot of Native Americans lose sight that the holiday is a celebration of Italian culture and heritage; which is unfortunate, and also detrimental to Native Americans.
