The safest is don't
The cheapest is VNC security isn't brilliant though.
Remote desktop is OK but its MS so has holes.
Landesk has higher security than all above answers but isn't cheap.
PC DUO seems to be the best mix between price and security.

peronaly i would you a network, as msn and microsoft in general have sercurity problems, i would suggest wired and not wireless lan, as again too many security problems
