You are right - It's not difficult

* Find a free 5.25" bay
* slide it into place
* connect the IDE cable (flat thin cable with the red stripe indicating pin 1)
* Ensure the if you have another divice on the same IDE check the jumpers are correct (one should be master, the other slave, but it doesn't matter which is which)
* Connect a power cable (the 4 pin thing coming from the power supply)
* Screw in tightly with at least 4 screws
* double check the BIOS setting are correct but you'll probably find everything auto installs from here...

Any problems come back to us ;-)

Earthing yourself is easy - just make sure while you are carrying out the procedure you are also touching the side of the case, the desk etc - something that will make sure any static electricity you may have built up won't be discharged into the computer insides. Static electricity discharging is the zap you get from car doors, supermarket trolleys etc.

Unscrew the case
Earth yourself
put the CD/DVD Drive in an empty slot
screw it in
plug any spare ribbon (data) cable in*
plug any spare (internal) power cable in
screw the case back on

*There is technicalities with this about primary/secondary master/slave, but I don't think it matters that much

If it's a new one, it should come with instructions.
But, rather than writing out the instructions, please see the site listed.
