Yes, you guys have great landscapes, nice people, parks, so on; but so far you haven't mentioned a single thing that California does not have.
Texas is not even in the same league as California since CA is by itself the fifth largest economy in the world. It's just like comparing pee wee football to the NFL

In response to the previous answer by user "Lance", you need to check you facts a little before posting.
While it is true that California has the 5th largest economy in the world, Texas has the 10th largest. California's GSP (gross state product) was about 1.5 trillion dollars in 2005. Texas's GSP was about 1.0 trillion.
The analogy between CA and TX being like PeeWee and the NFL is not quite accurate. More like NCAA national champs vs NFL.

Tough question really, I was born in Cali and lived a number of years in Texas. They both have excellent qualities about them. But I'm gonna have to vote for Texas this time around. Go 1st Cavalry Division!!!!!

California. People in Texas have a habit of calling us damn Yankees if we try to move down there and stay. We are allowed to go visit, spend out money, but then we have to leave.

I agree, Texas is much better except for some liberal areas like Austin. California is completely insane.
