well lit...
lighted is for past tense only not future perfect.

since nobody seems to know for sure, and say this is for a paper or something, i'd just alter the sentence slightly. "Make sure the stairwells have ample lighting." Or would it be "ample light"...?

Unfortunately, nowadays, the first one is correct and the second is probably unintellligible. When I was going to school, the second was correct and the first was not only wrong but it's use marked you as uneducably stupid.
