Well it was a surprise for us both. I was feeling a little dizzy while we were grocery shopping & I told him we should get a pregnancy test. We did. Then we got home. I was all nervous. He had just gotten off work too. I went to the upstairs bathroom & did as the directions for the test told me. It's the ept test so it doesn't have the lines. It has pregnant or not pregnant. Pretty straightforward. Waited the couple of minutes.....looked at the results....."pregnant". First thing that crossed my mind was holy crap! Went down stairs. He was in the kitchen making somthing to eat. We made eye contact & I got all teary eyed. I told him I was pregnant. He didn't cry, but he was over excited. He anounced it to the entire WORLD! Now we have an adorable little baby girl. Who will be a daddy's girl!

We live in southamerica. He was away on a bussiness trip in Houston and I was supossed to meet him there. I took the test a day before flying and It was positive. It was unplanned but I was really happy and scared about his reaction, and i couldn't do it that night over the phone on an overseas call. He said I sounded weird, I said everything was fine. Next day I flew to Houston, he picked me up at the airport, got in the car and I could barely speak a word. he asked me what was going on, and I looked at him in the eye and started crying, I don't know how but he figured it right away and started screaming "OMG you are pg" an crying (happy tears). As we were in the car, he missed our exit, could barely think and drive, we both were crying. When we got to the hotel he got out of the car , open the door for me and gave me a big hug, he was thrilled!!

Ours was unplanned. I called him up to the bedroom and then just pointed at the positive test because I could not say the words. He freaked out and just held me as I cried. Neither of us was really happy, but I think that I was just in shock at the time and so was he. Now we are expecting in less than 5 weeks and I cannot wait.

With our fourth pregnancy, it was christmas, so I wrapped the test in a box and gave it to him to open when it was just me and him. He was thrilled, even though it was a complete suprise! Now that child is four and we cannot imagine how dull our life would be without this joy in our lives. (I did put a note in there, telling him he was getting "fixed" after this one, because I hadn't missed a day on the pill, so that obviously wasn't foolproof.) He laughed at that!

I called my husband and said " so how do you like the permanent name of daddy? " for the first one. The second we were both at the GP for check ups and I had requested a pg test just in case and they told me I was pregnant so I walked into the room he was in and said "here we go again".

It was Christmas Eve, I took the test and it was positive, I called him. I told him there was something I needed to talk to him about and he knew what it was because I told him I might be earlier in the day. He told me he needed to work on his truck and hung up on me. He freaked out. Poor thing. He came over and apologized. Then he cried. Then he was happy.

I GAVE HIM THE PREGNANCY TEST. HE WAS SO HAPPY, HE WENT OUT AND BOUGHT AN INFANT CAR SEAT THE NEXT DAY. NOW WE HAVE A CLOSET FULL OF STUFF AND IAM ONLY 4 MONTHS PREGNANT AND STILL DONT KNOW THE SEX OF THE BABY.

I showed him the test strip and said..."hey, look! Its positive!" Then he proceeded to go to the liquir cabnet and down a 5th of JD. He was fine after a couple of days.

my husband knew i was pregnant last time before i knew i was. i thought i was sick and ended up i was pregnant. now..the fun part was telling him that we were having twins! we had three older boys..so twins was a shock for us. when i told him( he was just about to board his plane to iraq) he thought i was joking to make him laugh...now we have two beautiful 5 mnth old babies..one boy and one girl and we are done!
