Yes. And, because they were family and the deed was so heinous, disowning them was easy.
The only difference between family and everyone else is the biological bond. If I met some of my family on the street, at work or at a party, I'd probably wouldn't like them and would steer clear of them.

disown? that sounds like something illegal against nature to disown family. Not that I am all that close to family, but disown ashamed we share the same blood. nah, I don't think so. I have a good bloodline. Give an example...

Someone did something terribly wrong to me - but I didnt stop loving them. I wanted to disown them right then and there, but I realized that being their family member and setting it aside would create a world of guilt each time they saw my face at a family reunion.

Yes, someone in my family very close to me did something very wrong...we stopped talking to each other the way we did before that, the relationship has never been the same after that but I love him lots and I know he loves me. It is a weird feeling, I´m sad for what he did and I feel I cannot trust him anymore. but he is part of my family, my blood and that doesn't change, I think I just need to get over it and forgive and probably things will go better between us.

Yes but you need to resist the temptation. Time has a way of resolving these issues....
Depending on the offense, of course, sometimes you must disown them but that is the extreme....

Yes, in the past. You can't choose your family. The only thing I did was limit her in my life (my sister). I live my life and I only see her on the holidays, if that. I still have conversations with her but I do not let her know any of my business because she can not be trusted. I just learned to accept the fact that she is who she is and I can not change it. But I can change how she affects me.

Not a family member, but an ex b/f that turned out to be a loser...and a thief.

Yes, and it still hurts till this day.
A few years back I was dating this guy of 4 years. He used to always stay at my place, well, one night my sisters, my guy and I were out drinking, I guess I got so hammered, my guy and I passed out in my room. Well, my oldest sister told my other oldest sister to watch this... she came into my room and pulled my b/f's pants down and started sucking on his dick while I was sleeping right beside him. He eventually woke up and took her to our spare bedroom and ****** her. I didn't know about this until two weeks later and my youngest sister told me what happened, God, I was so hurt, I cried for days and hated my sister with the passion. I never forgave her and didn't talk to her for a really long time. But I eventually got over it and started talking with her again. But at that time I hated them soo damn much, geez, it still hurts to this day. To be treated like that.

Yes, my brother and one of my sisters. My brother stole money - lots of it - from my mother and abused her when she asked for it back. That sister backed him up. When my mom wrote her will she told the story and how she wanted her estate divided up and he refused to honor her will then tried to make sure that my other sister and I didn't even get heirlooms from her apartment that were listed for us in her will. My sister and I talk about them, but I will have no communication with them ever again. They are dead to me as I am to them. I even moved 2000 miles away without telling them.
