I am pregnant and I have been getting this dirty brown circle around my neck. No matter how much I scrub it, it seems to come out by the next day. Now its becoming a concern for me because it stays and some of it does not come off. I usually scrub it off with alcohol pads because water and soap does not do it. Is there anyone who has gone through this and knows how to get rid of it????

I had the same thing when I was pregnant. Stop freaking out. Everything is fine. Oh, and ITS NOT RINGWORMS!! Your body is going through so many hormonal changes and with the pre-natal vitamins that you're taking, you can expect strange things, this is just one of them. Stop fretting and stop scrubbing. All you're gonna end up with is a big red ring around your neck (been there - done that). After I had my daughter it went away. I wouldn't use any creams or bleaches either unless you've consulted your doctor, but there is no use using them anyways since it will continuously come back every time until after the baby is born.

LOL it is not ringworm .. not even close to ringworm. It is a pregnancy related condition, and it will go away after the baby comes. With my first daughter I started getting those patches on my body as well, and this time around I have started getting it on my upper arm.. noticed it yesterday when I went to get blood drawn. It's not something you have to rush out and tell your doctor about, but you could always mention it to them when you do see them next time.

I seem to remember my aunt having a similar issue while pregnant. I think is called some sort of mask-pigment in your skin canging due to hormones. Not really to sure if you can do anything about it. I would check out a site for expectant moms, ask your dr. or get a good book "What to expect when you are expecting" Best of Luck!

I have seen ringworm before. It is a circle 'patch," a small piece of skin. It would not go AROUND your neck. You do not have ringworm. It is more like a quarter, if that helps you to picture it.

If you are worried about the brown circle, visit your doctor.

My friend had the same thing when she was pregnant. She would scrub until it was red, her doctor told her it was natural caused by hormone surges and after the baby it would be gone. A day after the baby was born, hers went away and hasn't been back since. It sounds normal to me..but if you are worried, ease your stress by asking your doctor, you don't need to worry with a baby on the way. Congratulations

i didnt experience this but i heard that lemon juice is very good for removing dark spots....also have you tried any over the counter bleaching creams?...there are very good ones made by Dr Palmer....i recommend the Dr Palmers Success Fade Cream or any of the other Dr Palmer fade creams....also talk to your ob/gyn and see if possibly a Rx for a bleaching cream is safe....ask your doctor BEFORE you try anything...good luck

Call your doctor's office and ask to speak with a nurse.

I have never experienced that when I was pregnant for either of my children. I would be very careful about the cleaning products that you use--teratogens. Call your OBGYN and talk to them! See what they have to say and advise.
