I'll tell you the exact thing I just said to someone else. Gotta go with the man Fred Taylor. The Jets are 25th in defense against the run (140 ypg) and have given up the most rushing TD's this season (8). Chargers havent given up a single TD on the ground and are only giving up 66 ypg on the ground. Gotta go with Taylor!

Well Pittsburgh has shown already that they are willing to put the ball in Parker's hands a lot, even if they are not in a favorable position. The Chargers have a tough defense so a lot of what happens with Parker's performance is going to rest on whether the rest of the offense, such as the play of QB Roethelisburger (spelling?) is at a better level than it has been the past few weeks. If he is able to return to his pre-injury form, then Parker should have a good day as opposing defenses will have to respect the pass and not crowd the line. Plus, if Big Ben plays well, and the passing game is working, the Steelers should be ahead, allowing the team to do something it is very, very good at, and that is just running the ball to burn up the clock and gain a lot of yardage for the tail back. Fred Taylor is having a good year, and looks good now, and of course everyone sayd he is just one injury away from riding the pine again. Right now though, I would stick with him while he is hot, especially if the rest of the Steeler offense can't be counted on yet. And since they are 0-3, a fantasy running back is going to be pretty limited in how many points they will put up for you.

Dude the Chargers are playing tough and Merriman could end up in the pro-bowl this year.
Go with Fred Taylor. The jets lost their best def. lineman in Abraham so they are open to the running game. They still have a decent secondary, but I wouldn't trust them to watch a snail. Go with Fred, he'll get 100 yards and maybe 2 td's. Willie Parker - forget about it - Steelers are going to have to beat the Chargers with serious defense and Big Ben throwing the ball.
Go with Fred he'll get you more yards and more points thank Fast Willie P. Good luck.

I still dont think I would pick Fred Taylor against the lowsy Jets defense because Fred has been splitting too much time with Maurice Jones-Drew who has looked very good. Last week was not exceptional but the week before he ran for 104 yrds agains Indianapolis. Willie Parker has gone over 100 yards twice this season in three games Taylor has not rushed over 100 yards once and has ZERO touchdowns. Sorry all you guys for Taylor, but Im going with Parker.

Wow, very ugly choice.

Fred is really starting to take a back seat to MJD. He'll still get at least 15 carries. Pittsburgh has a terrible matchup, but if there is a goalline carry to be had, Parker will probably get it.

Either player will be lucky to get 60 yards on the ground. If you have another option, use it.

I have Taylor and Jones-Drew on my team and am starting Taylor as a 3rd RB. If I had Parker he would be my starter every week. He will get carries and doesn't split carries with anyone.

Parker over Taylor unless Parker has a bye, which was last week. More explosive, faster, healthier hamstrings....

id go with willie Parker just cause he's a beast and Shawn Merriman will be dealt with. he's no issue.
