ok i took a comfirm clearly hpt it came out + then 5hrs later i took it again and it said -.period was due the 16th had spotting onthe 19-20.i go to the doctors today.do u think i am prego?

A positve test does not lie. Congratulations, you are pregnant. The second test could have just not worked or you could have had a drop in your pregnancy hormone. Either way, you are pregnant and I am sure the doctor will tell you the same. Good luck.

It's rare to get a false positive hpt, so I would guess that you are pregnant. The spotting you had could be implantation bleeding, but mention it to your doctor. The Dr. should do a blood test to confirm the pregnancy. If your hcg hormone is low, then they might have you repeat the test in a couple of days to make sure the level is rising properly. Your hcg level should double every 2-3 days when you are pregnant. If it doesn't rise properly, then that could be an indication of a miscarriage. Don't worry about that though. the spotting was prob implantation bleeding when the egg attatches it sometimes can cause spotting.......a preg test works by detecting a certain hormone that you put down when the egg attatches which tells your body not to menstruate....its either there or it isnt........maybe by the time you took the second one your urine was diluted and so less of the hormone to detect.....try using first morning urine its always best. some kinds of cysts in the reproductive system can cause this hormone to be present however this is very rare in othor word im pretty sure i can say congrats. and good luck

Peachy is right. It is almost impossible for a pregnancy test to be a false positive (says you are pregnant when you really arent). You are pregnant. Go see that doctor!

YOUR BEST BET IS TO LET YOUR DOCTOR KNOW WHAT HAPPENED AND HE CAN RUN A BLOOD TEST AND IT WILL DEFINE IIF U ARE PREGNANT OR NOT..
