Most honest retailers would have AT LEAST called you first and explained the situation and to get your permission. They should not have charged your card without your permission, even though they had refunded you too much.

Ifthe refund was on a credit card, yes... they can cancel the refund and issue a new refund. Now if you had a contract with the retailer, then the contract will supercede everything else.

But if they did over-refund you, they have a right to charge the card. You won't be able to dispute it.

It should not be an issue. You should do the right thing. If they issued a refund that was too high, they may be able to cancel it and refund the exact amount. Just because someone made a mistake does not mean that you are entitled to it.

replacing your card is so effortless as getting into numbers into the device, an volume, and clicking enter. once you signed the settlement or settlement, I ensure that it suggested some thing about expenses after leaving. imagine about it this kind.... once you stay at a hotel, they are going to favor to swipe your card once you examine in, and it must be a significant debit or mastercard with your call on it. and then on the right you pay for what ever you want to again with your card. the reason they take that volume in the starting up, or on each and every occasion they did, is in case you want to guard themselves in case you trashed the room you stayed in or had the different chargers like room provider.... they have your card for legal duty causes. So in case you're taking a pillow, they could charge you, and not in any respect lose funds on their section.

Why not go and give excess refund back to them.
