According to or own National Academy of Sciences and the equivalent organizations in the UK, Germany, India, Japan, South Africa, France, and Brasil, yes we are in a boatload of trouble. The Republican party isn't so much in denial as they are paid off by the biggest pollutors and it is in their interest to deny science to insure they saty in power ($).

Addendum: The idea that Global warming is "junk science" is part of a carefully orchestrated campaign by big energy to "invite skepticism of science". This was all part of industry documents discussed in closed door Congressional hearings from 2001 that were recently declassified. Congrats to those who parrot the story back, you are a marketer's dream.

Absolutely our environment is in deep trouble. You can see it everywhere. The current administration is being paid off by the Bush cabal to look in other directions. Fact is politic ions are the first to take a bribe, the first to sell their votes, and the first to allow our laws to be breached for money. They act like they don't have families , but they do , they are perverted, they have it all and they want more. The people of America should take a good look at our government, and make adjustments where needed. Why do we just sit back and allow this evil group to take away our god given rights. Don't you realize it will effect you too. Good god people , please try and catch up to what is going on , right now, do you want to be dictated too, it's your job as an American to stand up and be heard. Stop this madness it's almost too late. Don't you see what this administration has done to the working man and woman. They are using every trick in the book against we Americans. They are truly evil, stop these bastards!Save the planet.

Bush doesn't even believe in evolution, he is a man that censors his own EPA's scientific reports. So is he in denial? Yeah. To him and his people Iraq is making progress even though a DoD internal report was leaked to say that US troops are attacked in Iraq every 15 minutes 24/7.

Gore overplayed the problem though, if global warming does become a massive problem it won't be within our grandchildren's lifetime. The data he uses for his projections is suspect, but the problem is real. I feel sorry for Al Gore, I doubt he has many friends.

Sadly, yes, the world is in that much trouble. The Bush administration does NOT ignore the problem, they LIE about it. They table the issue "FOR FURTHER STUDY." And there is a very good reason to turn their backs on it...ENERGY Corporations do NOT want anything done to hurt the bottom line, and Bush is into the Energy corporations to his ears..Cheny is so involved with Haliburton it is sinful and shameful...Enron is just one small drop in the bucket. yet AMERICANS choose to close their eyes to reality, re-elect the worst President we will have ever had, and will probably re-install all the idiot greedy Republicans in office come November. They will all be dead by the time the results of global warming come down hard, but their bank accounts are TODAY! Wise up. It is not enough to sit and whine about what is going on..only by activism and action will anything change. The Democrats remain remarkably silent thinking they will be wisked into office as a rebellion..I am afraid they are sadly mistaken..they offer NO solutions either. To those here you live in denial, I am sorry for your ignorant souls. You place the future of your children's lives on the block because of mis-placed hate for good men. IF I were in charge (and I am not), Bill Clinton would be Emperor of the US. He is the only one in memory who did anything positive for the US. Good luck

Global warming is something that because of a lot of publicity is accepted as fact, when in reality it is "junk science". The president isn't exactly a rocket scientist, but neither is Al Gore. Some experts are actually saying that the weather we are having is actually as good as it gets, and we're headed for another ice age due to volcanic eruptions. I guess the best advice is plan for tomorrow, but live for today.

No, the world is not in that much trouble. The same people who criticize the "scare tactics" of anti-terrorism are the first ones to put out the "global warming" scare machine. It's funny, really.

Always be skeptical of a "science" whose supporters treat skeptics like heretics.

Go the the National Weather Service and they state that Al Gore took their information and twisted it to look like truth when in fact it was a lie. Al Gore is just another politician with an agenda.
