how would you deal if a close friend is prenant and smokes but knows you are desperate for a baby?

You cant stop someone smoking however dont let her smoke near you, she may get the picture. find a better friend!
stop worrying just let it happen-and it will.

OK, first of all, just because she's smoking doesn't mean that she doesn't want her baby. And what you want doesn't have any effect on what she's going to do. NO, It's not good at all for her to be smoking while she's pregnant, and I'd suggest she stop every now and then, but that's it. She's going through a rough time right now, and you harping on her all the time won't help. I'd say in this situation, you just need to remember she's your friend first. I think it'd be good for you to take a big step back, and really look at your question. It almost sounds like since you want a baby, she should be doing the things that you would do if you were. I'm saying this because you didn't just say, I'm concerned about my friend's future child. She's pregnant and is still smoking. So, if maybe you had a baby yourself, the situation wouldn't bother you as much? I don't know. I just think that's how it came out. I think that you should just be nonjudgmental and supportive. AND for sure occasionally say something about how she needs to stop for the baby.

When a friend of mine got pregnant her doctor told her that she still has to smoke occassionally because of the amount she smoked before she found out because she would be harming the baby if she stopped. Also my mom smoked when she was pregnant with me and my three siblings and we are okay. Some people are just unable to quit. Try telling her that it upsets you and she might stop it around you. That is what my friend did.

Talk to her and tell her how much smoke can harm her unborn baby! I can't believe people can still act like this with all the information out there!

It's kinda weird question? Are you worried b/c she's not taking care of herself? Obviously, she didn't get pregnant to make you jealous, but you need to tell her how smoking will harm that baby.

Ask your friend nicely not to smoke around you,if it's a real friend they will respect your wishes,if not choose a different friend

my mom smoked with me i ant messed up by it .i would be excited for her not judgmentel what is next you judgeing her motherhood whys ,stop this now or your going to loss a friend

she needs to be told that shes been blessed and needs to take better care of it becasue some people who WOULDNT MISTREAT THEIR UNBORN CHILD LIKE THAT arent pregnant!!
