Green Day - Was Alternative Punk then American Idiot came out which was pop unk used the new gay MTV to sell it out to all the posers that still watch Mtv which is All mega mainstream hip hop and pop
Metallica- ****** awesome band.......before the black album they hated mainstream so much that what i liked themthats what they tried to show. But hey lets make the black album which is so mainstream that lil 8 year girls would like it screw what we stand for and are respect for music lets get money screw the real fans

music isnt just about the music man, its about the lyrics too
the bands has something to say and they really wanted to be heard, and changing their signature style just to appeal to the masses is a sell out, but thats not the only reason the tweaked their sound a bit, they were just trying a new approach cos they had a new message
dont hate dude, they just trying to make a living, what about the bands/musicians who started off sucking - they are even more criminal that the ones who use to Rock but now are just okay, why not blast them? For the same reason!!! they just have something to say dude, if you dont like the way the say it, dont listen
