Trust your own judgement on the people you meet. Don't be too desperate or over baring. Take it slowly and get to know them and don't think of them as your friend straight away. It takes time to get to know someone and even longer to build up trust.

It takes timmmmmmme. Friendly people may come on strong but only be looking for someone they can take from. A true friend will be willing to focus on what they can GIVE to a relationship, not what they can get from it. But it takes a development of understanding between two people to know which kind you've 'got'. Be open to new connections, but be quick to cut them off if they do not bring out the best in you and you do not bring out the best in them.

I read this somewhere: 'A person who is nice to you, but rude to the waiter, is not a nice person. (This is very important. Pay attention. It never fails.)'. Other than that I don't know but if you ever find out let me know, seems to me most people who seem nice usually have an ulterior motive.

Come on get real! You seem to have a high opinion of yourself? This a place for advice and help not a dating site or a place where friends meet. I say try making friends where you live. Anyway what's wrong with the friends you have now? You have to work out whom to make friends with yourself im sure you'll meet new friends soon. (Can't help you with that)

Try being rude to everyone. Maybe you can tell the difference who's nice and who's bad, by their reactions. ;)
