There are numerous reasons why a person will date a person significantly older than themselves. One is that it has nothing to do with the age. This is clear if they have only dated 1 person considerably older than them. If they only date persons older than them, then it's a preference. Women tend to mature socially more quickly than men, so they have difficulty communicating with men their own age. This is not the case for everyone of course since everyone matures at their own rate. This is purely a generatlization. Others are looking for daddies and want to feel protected, which is just creepy to me. To each their own. Some are practical: If guys tend to leave women for younger women, then I'll date an extremely old guy. Then I'll always seem younger to them. This is a ridiculous point of view since you should choose someone with a noble character. I personally am not attracted to men over 30 or younger than 25, so I'm kind of screwed. I'm pretty certain that I won't be able to pull in 26 year olds when I'm 90. :(
Perhaps you can ask your sister and see what she says. :)

I've always dated older guys, but never more than 8 years older. Maybe she finds something in him that she isn't getting elsewhere--guidance from an older male of some sorts? That's my first guess. And as far as younger siblings thinking they know it all, that's just a normal thing. She probably thinks you're the older brother who's always nagging her or picking on her or something when in reality you're looking out for her best interests. And you've got to make sure she asks herself--why is this older guy with me? What is he getting from me that he can't get from women his own age?
And how old is your sister anyway? Are we talking teenage years, because that's disturbing and quite possible illegal...

I was 20yrs old and dated a 29yr old. He was damaged goods and didn't give me the right treatment i deserved. The relationship turned into sex very quickly and things just got complicated. When it came down to a year together and i wanted to know where things were headed he brokeup with me.... I am now with a guy 4 years older than me and am way happier than i was with my ex I say be careful as to how much older this guy is....stick with someone ur own age.... its also different if ur 25 and hes 35....

Because men mature more slowly than women. Men that are chronologically 15 years older are mentally the same age as a woman 15 chronological years younger.

Why is it your concern who she likes or dislikes, or who she decides to date. As long as she is of age, she can do whatever she wants. Is she whining about your dating preferrences?

I don't know. I think that is gross! If she is underage you need to tell your parents. This is not right.
