It will only affect you if you have joint items that you are financing together, like a mortgage. I suggest that you get your name taken off any joint credit items or he will drag down your credit score along with his.

Wgy u guys/Gals in USA are more worried about Bankruptcy I do not Know. The bankruptcy laws are very clear. Infact Credit Card things like that came from ur place to the world. Most American
Banks operate thru out the world and hire goondas, convicts as collection agents. Break laws of local land.

The banks have made it fashionable bankruptcy. So why worry. Remember when u go bankrupt it is not ur fault, it is the fault of the bank, fault of the government policies, So many jobs are taken out from America and handed over to India, Energy bills shooting by the day, Who will not be bankrupt. So do not worry Be happy in becoming bankrupt.

Unfortunately yes it will. It just depends on how much joint credit you both have. If you own a home that could also be a factor in the bankruptcy. I worked in a special finance department for years. The bad part is you will be bombarded with lenders wanting to extend you credit at substantially higher interest rates. Good luck and God bless you both.
