It's a link to the TSA's "Prohibited Items" list, which is a fairly comprehensive list of what you can and can't bring on the plane. It also has links to the new "clear plastic bag" regulations for small amounts of liquids and gels.
If you are NOT in the United States, then contact your airline and ask them to provide you with a list of what you can and cannot bring on the plane.

You can carry toiletries now in a large ziplock bag. You still can't carry lighters, knives, lipgloss, foundation, etc.. Check your local airports website.
I just flew last weekend, they still make you remove your shoes, belt, jewelry.

All personal hygiene can be purchase at the airport after security check point.
No liquid like, gel like, aerosol products......are allow.
