Yes, its definetely a sign that you are preg. Almost every womens breast, including the nipples, get more sensitive in the early stages of pregnancy. It's normal, don't worry. Your breast should get bigger by as early as 3 or 4 months. But to make sure that you are pregers go and have a pregnancy test done by your Dr.

For a first pregnancy... the boobs start swelling around the 3rd ~ 4th month... and are excruciatingly painful (at least for me they were). I don't remember having any pain in the nipple area, but each person is different. Second pregnancies may not have the same characteristics (again, for me during my current pregnancy, I nursed for the first 5 months. I'm only starting to feel some pain from swelling in my 6th month, but no where near what I felt the first time around).
Just go get a pregnancy test to answer your question.

I read somewere that getting more bump on your nipples only happens when your pregnant. My friend is a few weeks pregnant and her nipples hurt like hell she screams when the wind blows. I would take a test.

my boobs didn't swell up until the middle of my 1st trimester...it wasn't a first sign. Every woman is different. It could be period symptoms...sometimes these are mistaken for pregnancy signs.
