For many parents I've known, what really matters to them most is to be able to spend a day with their WHOLE family. It may take a lot of effort to organize, contact, and coordinate for this but it'll surely be worth when you see how happy they are. Don't forget to have this event videotaped and/or have a complete family picture. It wouldn't really matter if it's just a small barbeque or pot luck as long as everybody they love is present to celebrate their 26th year.

For the evening, you try to make a reservation to a restaurant memorable for them. Perhaps somewhere they went to for their first. Or if you can't get such detail from your relatives, a fine dining restaurant will do. Pursue your dad to buy her flowers or you can volunteer and pay to buy for it but you let your dad give it to her. Also, do tip the musician/s to play their theme/favorite song and dedicate it to them as from their child/ren. That will surely make their day really special. =)

I agree...going back to where you got married or went on your honeymoon can be great. If you don't want to do that maybe try hinting around and try to find out somewhere they have always wanted to go. You could maybe invite them over for dinner and then after you and your hubby start talking about places you would like to travel to....never know maybe they will tell you something that way. I think its great what you guys are doing....good luck *S*

relies upon on funds. For some thing greater low-fee..perhaps a short 2 to 3 day cruise on Baja/Mexico Riviera or 2-3 day stay at Las Vegas. in the event that they desire to relax...perhaps an afternoon spa, which could be much less costly. For some thing greater costly, try a 7 or 14 day cruise to Caribbean or 2 week trip to Asia or Europe. Or week stay at a ski or sea coast hotel in Colorado or Hawaii respectively. additionally, in the event that they have some thing sentimental they the two enjoyed of their previous..which may be basically as good. good success.

Aruba, hands down. The weather is great year round and there is a great many things to do or nothing for them to do on the island (depending on their mood.)
