I understand the spelling and the original English pronunciation of the popular TV series Start Trek should be just as its spelled.... but do "Trekies" pronounce it like 'Star Track'?????? has the pronunciation of the name evolved kind of like how slang words are born?

It is, and has always been, Star TREK - as in Journey to the stars.

I hate it when people say Star "Track" it drives me crazy...you know one of those little quirks. I like Star Trek but don't consider myself a "Trekie," but I do know some and they say Trek.

The word is 'Trek' sounds like Shrek.

'Trak' is for hillbillies that say things like "I'm warshing my hands..."
