how do you delete a yahoo account i tried looking in account settings but i coulndt find where to delete ny email account

Scroll down to "Account Deletion" and follow instructions.
Or go here and choose "Terminate Account":

Go to help on the top right corner of yahoo and type delete account ans it will tell you what to do. All you have to do in confirm password. You will see, it is easy.

You can't delete it, you just have to stop using it.
