No I donot think so. May be India needs to be more aggressive in their approach on countering terrorism. Shashi Tharoor fought hard and was placed in second position behind Ban. May be next time we can get some India at the coveted post of Secretary general

We thought that when Bajpei spoke in Hindi in the UN General Assembly, everybody understood it and the entire world was going to follow India henceforth. Our leadders and diplomats were just making white lies.

The problem with Indians is that every body worship god Dollar, our Diplomats live like "CHAPRASSIS" just to save a buck.Old habits go away very hard,I think it is 700 years of submission and slavery that is flowing in the blood .May I tell you another thing they have already brought back EAST INDIA COMPANY Thanks to Manmohan Singh,Chitrbhoom,Sonia and ATTAL BIHARI.Nehru was not wrong when he declared in
Lok Sabah that "BANIA HAS NO RIGHT TO RUN THE FOREIGN POLICY OF INDIA"At that time he was talking about Dalmia, but there are so many Dalmias today.I think SONIA must go before we talk any thing else. She is a severe security issue.

unsecretarygeneral is a mouthpiece of america. If we have independent forein policiesit will not suit America.south Korea is toeng the line of America in all matters. So it is convenient for a South Korean as Un Secretary General.Nowadays the post has lost its charm.Admittedly we do not have any foreign policy except to manage cross border terrorism,in which also we are miserably failing

He is a wrong candidate and doesn't have the charishma from day one. He is just a big babu and never has the qualities of a winner. He appeared more like an expatriate job seeker, to say the least.

Indian politicians should come out of the caste and brahminical mindset. There are very excellent candidates who could have made it. Big fiasco.
