Do you believe Frist's proposal? Victory over Islamic radicals means having them run the government?

"Frist said he learned from military briefings that Taliban fighters were too numerous and had too much popular support to be defeated on the battlefield.

"You need to bring [the Taliban] into a more transparent type of government," he said during a visit to a military base in the Taliban stronghold of Qalat. "And if that's accomplished, we'll be successful."

Republicans are mostly interested in Money. If a war is not feasible and not in the best interests of the Republican Money Mongers then they will find some way to "Cut & Run". Iraq on the other hand has made billions of dollars of the Republicans and their cohorts. There is no real money for them in Afghanistan. Why do you think there are more police officers in the City of New York than there are soldiers in Afghanistan? Do you smell the coffee?

I hope it's a trap. OK Taliban dudes- come on in and then BAM! they dead.
I can't imagine what Frist is proposing would be a viable solution unless he converts them or gives them a whole new personality.
Since the Taliban was oppressive, how does he figure that's going to change? They will attempt to dominate the gov't until they regain control and we're back to square one.
NOT a good idea.

Have a great day!!!

I think what Frist was describing was Iraq. Republicans went in and removed the government fast and easy but the insurgency like the Taliban in Afghanistan was a different story.

the only reason for any "ammo shortage" is pondering the gullible wingnuts are paying for it in the path of the case. the lack is man made considering that the Repugnicon propaganda laptop has scared those loons into increasing the manufacturers' earnings. this could basically embolden the NRA since, because of the reality that their are maximum of gun shoppers who're individuals of the NRA, gets greater donations. The Repubs rely on those donations to pay for extra propaganda labeled classified ads on television. i think of if the Republicans had any integrity, that they had refuse all NRA donations, that attitude that they had be exhibiting that their stance is on concept. They could no longer in spite of if. Politicians on the two edge of the aisle are such shameless money whores they'll soak up any reason. somewhat or perceived, as long as they think there is monry to be gotten out of it.
