Everytime I connect my creative labs MP3 player to my PC the PC recognises it but doesn't do anything. The software provided is supposed to pick it up so I can load tracks onto it. I think it may be the USB on my computer.

Any suggestions

have you tried all of your USB ports? if so, try the hardware manager. see if you get get your PC to detect it manually.

When u connect your MP3 to the computer, the computer just recognises it, that's all.... The computer does nothing after it!

If u want to do something else you need to do it yourself.

If you want to transfer some music from the PC to you MP3 you need to find the MP3 on your computer.

It normally appears as E:/ or F:/ or as a Creative or whatever...

Once you have found your MP3 on the computer, you need to drag and drop the music on the MP3... that's all!

Have a look in Computer Management in Administrative Tools. I had a problem like this and it seemed the PC was naming the MP3 player D drive which was the same as my CD ROM drive so I had to assign it a different letter then it worked.

in the tool bar, open up/right click "safely remove hardware" find your mp3 drivers there delete them.. then re-connect the player... when it goes ''Bing-bong'' it will show new player found,,, and then say "item is installed and ready to use'' and you should find it in 'my computer'

double click on "My Computer" it may show up in there as a hard drive, you can then load your songs onto your mp3 player by dragging and dropping them in
