i already got greenday from alternative punk to pop punk to get more money
and metallica's black album got lots of money by being extremly mainstream so that 8 year girls could listen to it

How about this- The Who- They have more greatest hits albums then they do studio albums- sounds like sombody is trying to make a lot of fast cash...

I totally agree about ******' Metallica. That black album was such horseshit.
A buddy of mine threw all his Metallica stuff in a bonfire after hearing that pile of monkey semen.

Yes, Green Day and Metallica are the biggest sellouts, and I am going to day "No Doubt" too. They used to be alternative-rock, now they suck!

Most bands nowadays sellout for more airplay, fans etc. The real question is which bands have not sold out.........

no doubt... they were amazing back when they recorded albums like tragic kingdom...now look at gwen....
system of a down...they were so good. they had such an original style. not many people had heard of them.... and then they went and recorded songs like b.y.o.b and lonely day...now everybody knows them...
