I think that every so often in life, we run into truly memorable people who touch our lives in some unforgettable ways. But after this long, it is probably not her you love, but the idea of what she represented to you. There are always people who hold a special place in your life but in truth, an Ex is an Ex for a reason. Let it go, remember it, learn from it, but let it go.

I think its normal to still be in love. I broke up with my ex twice and realized after 6 years that I don't want anybody else.

Love is strongger than the police lol, but, keeping and encouraging your thoughts will only make it harder to forget. Also, when you meet the Miss Right all this will be in the pass.

1st love? Yes, you never forget your first love. It is normal to think about past relationships periodically, but your first love will always stand apart from the rest.

You are not in love with her, you are in love with the idea of what it could have been. She is not the same person you knew. Time for you to move on. Part of adult life is learning how to close one chapter in your life and open another.
