i have band class tonight, and it's the last rehearsal before our concert next week. but there's this seminar/lecture about veterinary ethics (i am going to be a veterinarian), but it's at the same time as my band class tonight. should i skip class and go to the lecture?

What are your professor's requirements?

Are you allowed to miss the last practice and still participate? Do you get a grade in band or just pass/fail and how will missing affect that?

Many times, lectures like that are recorded....maybe you can find out if there will be a way to view it later....

go to the lecture. practice at home. evidently u are good enough to be in the band which will be a nice hobby someday but being a vet will be your career.
