I was 13 years old and I broke my right arm. I was on a tree swing holding on to a bar and i fell. my whole body landed on my right arm. My ulna twisted as I landed and I got what is called a GREEN FRACTURE. its where the bone doesnt really break all the way through. Its like if you take a branch of a very young tree and bend it, the branch kind of splits in places. that is was happened to my arm. I had to wear a cast for 6 weeks. It hurt pretty badly, my arm swelled up to about 2 times the normal size and was black and blue from my thumb all the way to my elbow! Thats how you break your arm!

Well dear, I was one of the first women from my Special Operations Group (during the Second World War), to parachute into occupied France.

I unfortunately hit a tree on landing and was momentarily suspended by my right arm, before it broke with a sickening snap (like a branch snapping). The pain was terrible, but I was unable to cry out for fear that the Germans might hear me.

I was picked up after an hour by members of the French Resistance who immobilized my arm and helped me to get back to England.

Try not to break yours - it hurts!

i broke my right arm twice in the same year. The first time i was climbing into a friends van, the kind with the sliding doors, and i wasn't paying attention. Her mom wasn't paying attention either and she slammed the sliding door closed on my arm snapping one of the bones in my arm. It really hurt, but it hurt even more when the door was reopened, i think for the most part i was in shock. I had a cast on that arm for a couple of months and then three days after i got the cast off i was outside playing in the snow with my brother and cousin, we were having a snowball fight and i was hiding on a big rock near the side of my house when i fell off backwards, caught my fall with my right arm and broke it in the same place again, that time i didn't go into shock and it hurt really bad!I ended up having my right arm in a cast for most of the school year, and i learned to write really well with my left hand!

I never broke my arm but I did break my ankle. It was in a car accident. My ankle got slammed off the side of the brake pedal, which in turn shattered a piece of the bone and now I have a screw in my ankle.

I fell off a ladder. It was leaning against something, and the bottom wasn't properly secured. The bottom slipped, the ladder fell, and I hit my elbow on the floor when I fell.
