There are no trees. The wood is a figment of our imaginations. This answer was never written.

Okay,a good philosophical question! Answering it, I'd say yes, it still does fall even if there's no one around because a person being there or not being there when it falls doesn't have any rrelavance to it's falling or not falling. It's kinda like people: We do what we want to do regardless of who's around so, a tree will fall if it's meant to fall regardless if a person is there or not.

No, the falling tree does not make a sound unless there is someone around capable of hearing. Sound exists only in a hearer's brain. If their is no hearer, there is no sound. Instead, there are only various frequencies of pressure waves in the ambient air. Your brain, via your ears, experiences these pressure waves as sound. Otherwise, they are merely soundless pressure waves.

The evidence would be there long after it had fallen so someone would eventully come across it to discover it. If it fell in the first place?
And just maybe the question should have said "did it?" not does it. But "IF" is the real question here?

Does it what? Fall? Your question presupposes that it does. So tell me, if a tree stands tall in a forest and refuses to fall, why does it not? That's more to the point.
