I live in Columbus, Ga. I want to learn how to swing dance, but I can't afford to pay for lessons. Does anyone know where I can go for free lessons or how I can learn to swing without lessons from someone beside me showing me?

My suggestion is that you take a look at your local library!
Not only might they have instructional books, but more and more libraries offer media options such as CD's or DVD's you might be able to check out. I know there are some good ones out there.
Good luck!

One of the largest aspect of having fun with Swing Dancing is the social interplay and studying matters from individuals at the dance ground. If you rather wish to be taught it, you'll be able to do so much larger discovering a nearby swing or lindy hop dance organization (or 2d great a studio). Have amusing.

There are some churches and clubs offer free lessons in swing, latin and ballroom dances. They don't advertise so you'll have to call around and ask people.

You can try local YMCA. Community colleges have very cheap classes - not free, but cheap.
Try this website, too. They have short videos of steps. http://www.ballroomdancers.com
Swing is fun.
