of a married woman who has no children and is a stay at home housewife?
Do you think this is ok....or do you think she should get out there and get a job of some kind?

My opinion is that if you are both happy with it then it's quite alright. There is nothing wrong with a woman being at home if that is what she wants to do.

It is all up to you... and no one else.

If you are comfortable not working, and you are not bored to tears, then don't work.

There are many things a non working, stay at home wife can do: There are dozens of charities out there looking for people to volunteer. That would be a great use of time.

Somehow, you do not strike me as the "Peg Bundy" sit on the couch all day eating bon-bons & watching oprah!

Don't worry what other people say... it's all about you!

Depends on the situation. It's all about mutual understanding. If anyone is financially sound, looking 4 a job 4 timepass, then she had 2 convience her husband or she had 2 look after any jobs based on home or some tuitions.

Should she be impelled to work? That really is a decision made by the husband and wife together. If my wife wants to work, then she can work. If she wants to stay home…well we are in a position to do that as well. She wants to work. She wants to get out and be with the “3 dimensional” people. She wants to increase our savings with a fat paycheck.

We don’t condone laziness, however. My wife and I both feel that if she stays home, then the house needs to be kept, the laundry done, and not a care should befall the one that earns the paycheck.

it would depend on the situation, if that person is not happy and don't want to be home. then i would say get a job. but if the person if happy being home and the partner is OK with it. stay home, or u can work out of the house. what ever works, it really nobody business anyway.

I think as long as it is okay with you and your husband then it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks about it. The people giving you a hard time about it are most likely just jealous because they can't stay home. I would politely tell them to mind their own business.

I think no job in the world is more important than raising your kids on your own.Its a tough job and needs your 100% dedication. If you dont need the money, you should stay home with your kids until they are older to go to school. If you do need the money, then you dont have a choice!

No! I think that it's perfectly acceptable for a woman to be a stay at home housewife. Unless her choice it to find employment. Either way, it's her choice.

That's between her and her husband. It's no body else's business. If she wants to stay home and they can do it financially, great. If she wants to get a job ouside the home, great.
