I'm trying to establish the costs involved in having a baby - does anyone know how much it costs roughly per week or month for childcare for a baby under 1 year and a mother working approx 35 hours per week? Costs for nursery and childminder would be useful
thanks
K

I'm not sure about your area but I suggest getting the phone book and ringing around all the nurseries for quotes. Childminders are cheaper than nurseries but you have to find a registered childminder. You can get this by phoning social services and they will send you a list of childminders that you can phone and visit. P's, I live in Scotland so England and Wales is probably a bit different.
