He took on Hawkman, zatanna, the flash, the green lantern, green arrow, and black canary, and kicked the crap out of them, he almost won.

Well, everything is simplified for the TV shows- but Slade's once-in-a-lifetime performance vs the JLA in Identity Crisis wasn't exactly the most accurate, either. He's been beaten one-on-one before, even by Green Arrow. I'd say Batman takes him 4 out of 5 times.

Of course Deathstroke in the comics has a very different relationship with Terra, too...

No, because the final premise in super hero comics, TV shows, or cartoons is that Good triumphs over evil. So the bad guys may win a battle or 2 but they will never win the war(unless its in Else worlds or the ultimates universe).

fairly slade is an murderer supersoldier whose son became into made to kill the teenager titans. his son became into killed interior the attempt and slade took up the contract for the only objective of antagonizing the teenager titans in his revenge. in this time he became a lots darker character than in his different appearances, easily, i by no potential even found out he became right into a villain outdoors of his teen titans appearances. he'd been around earlier the titans and clashed with many different heroes, inclusive of batman, yet he became well-liked for his archnemesis status with robin. and to be fairly trustworthy? i became into first presented to him watching teen titans, so collectively as he would circulate by potential of "deathstroke" i will continually understand him as slade. a damned frightening character. deserving of his supervillain status and a worth nemesis to robin.

I thought Slade was an early 1970's Rock and Roll Band that then had one big hit in 1980s called "Run Run Away."
