If you are going to visit Mumbai you must visit The Cottage Industires Emporium. This is a stroe about the size of Sears or JC Penny. They carry any kind of Indian Handycrat you can imagine. From fine silk shites and fabrica to hand woven bed sheets to large ivory sculptures to small souveniers to elaborate furniture, you will find it all there. It is located very close the the Gateway Of India which you definately will visit...it is one of the most popular destination there. Just ask anybody there for Cottage Industires and they will point you in the right direction. Also you can pay in 8 or 9 diffreent currencies there. Here is the website for that store....have fun on your trip!

You can buy trendy clothes that are the rage in many fashion capitals of the world at almost one-tenth the price (these are export surplus material) at Fashion Street. Or get good Indian Handicrafts at any of the state handicrafts emporia at reasonable price and good quality. You can also buy top quality suits, trousers, shirts, etc. from reputed Indian brands like Park Avenue and Vivaldi or international ones like Van Heusen, Allen Solly or Arrow at much lesser prices than you get in other parts of the world.
