No. We talked about this in my psych class. This guy in Arizone owned his own movie theater. He decided to put subliminal messages in the movie that was playing to see if people would buy more popcorn and soda. The messages were very fast and they simply said, "buy more popcorn" "buy more soda." He said that he had a record number of popcorn and soda sales but this is questionable because this experiment has never been able to be reproduced. Also, no experiment like this has ever been effective. I think that if you just watch commercials that don't have subliminal messages it's more likely that you'll buy the product. For example, have you ever not really been hungry but you see a mcdonald's commercial for this juicy, cheeseburger? It just makes your mouth water! Then when you see that same commercial over and over again during a show that you're watching, I guarantee that burger will be on your mind when you go past a mcdonald's the next day.

I think so just like the commercials that come on in the middle of a show that remind you that you need something sweet to eat when the show comes on, or the beer commercial that reminds you to go get another one when the football game is on.

YES!! QUITE EFFECTIVE AND QUITE EFFICIENT!!! THE T,V,
HAS BEEN A TOOL TO EFFECTIVELY PROMOTE AND
INFLUENCE IDEAS, OUR WAY OF THINKING, DRESSING,
EATING, ESP. VOTING!!!,, YOU NAME IT, IT WORKS, AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO!!! THERE ARE ALSO OTHER
WAYS BY WHICH SUBLIMINAL MESSAGES CAN BE TRANSMITTED, BUT THAT'S ANOTHER TOPIC ALTOGETHER!
THE T.V. IS JUST ONE OF THEM!!!
