I live in Jamaica in the West Indies and I am studying to become a Pharmacist. That field pays well here but I plan to migrate to the states when I am finished studying and would like to know if pharmacists are well paid there.

Pharmacist get paid very well. Normally into the high 5 figures to the low 6. If you are getting a foreign degree, make sure it is considered equivalent to the U.S. PharmD. A bachelors degree is not considered equivalent.

yes. pharmacists get paid very well here. depends on where in the states since salaries will differ. but you will be in the upper income bracket regardless. another plus is your hours are kinda set depending on pharmacy you work at. you wont have to be on call like most doctors. meaning you can still have a social life as well as make the money to enjoy it :) good luck and congrats!

My father-in-law has his own drug store/pharmacy in a small town. He enjoys owning his own business and does extremely well financially.
