To what is given, add both sides by 9, making 3/2x = 9. Then multiply 2x, so that 18x = 3. Then divide both sides by 18, so the answer is not 6, but 1/6.

Please put in parentheses. This is ambiguous otherwise.
If you want (3/2)x-9=0, then x=(2/3)*9=6.
If you want 3/(2x)-9=0, then x=(1/2)(3/9)=1/6.
If you want 3/(2x-9)=0, there are not solutions.
