There OK there just everybody else. It's just the negative opinion the British put in our heads. If in France or Germany Italy or china etc.if you don't try to speak the language your treated badly. If you do try to speak the language they help. If a Mexican comes to the U.S.A. we expect them to speak our language. Also it's propaganda put out by the British and the bush administration, because it has a different foreign foreign policy towards the middle east.In the french Constitution it gives there people the right to form unions and strike. Imanange the British and the Bush admistration saying something good about that.

The French people are stuck in the 18th century. While the average person lives a simple life and is not very demanding from their government there are far too many that think the government must take care of them and are lazy. The political system is even more corrupt than that of the US. We can only hope the next election will enable them to put people in office that the world can respect. The loss of their colonies left them without the resources to grow. The rest of Europe is a varied as the colors of the rainbow. Some countries stand out as admirable while others are lackluster. Naturally they are not as hyper as the average American but that is because they still have some of the old time respect for nature and are not addicted to pleasures.

1996 - the last time I was in France.
The people I met, talked with and shared thoughts were very nice, polite and intelligent.
On the other hand, the government of France leaves a lot to be desired. Very strange, and at times too liberal.
I look forward to visiting France again.
I don't boycott their food or wine.
I don't hate the people.
I do think that their leaders are as asinine as American leaders, but for different reasons.

My ex- boyfriend is French. He is very self-centered and not straightforward. I always had to figure out what he was trying to say. They get pissed off very easily and he insisted for me to speak French, he would try to teach me french all the time because his french was better than english but regardless he had to speak english. Also they dont really appreaciate women, and even though they are handsome and somewhat romantic they dont know how to make a woman feel loved or liked. They really dont know what they want. They are in love with you one day and the next day they despise you. They are just soo hard to figure out because they dont show emotion or feelings

I don't know any french people, but in America, they are frowned upon these days. I hear things like they hate anyone who isn't french, and really hate americans. I don't know if this is really true for the general french public, though. Maybe I'll come visit to see....
