my face is always peeling but its not really dry, it peels mostly on my nose. micro dermabraision is too expensive so does anyone know of a better and cheaper alternative? its very frustrating because its preventing me from using foundations. I'm hardly out in the sun, so I have no idea why this happens

ummm. by peeling do u mean small white flakes of skin, then u gotta do this:
1) Exfoliate with a scrub once a week and plz dont apply any pressure just do it very gently , with very light finger movements and for not more than 1 minute.
2)applying thick moisturizer wont help as all this can't be applied on the nose. Early morning wash ur face with water and then apply a layer of honey on ur nose. wash after 20 minutes.
3)At night apply a very light moisturizer on the nose (do it just before going to bed so that it does not close ur pores)

hope this helps.

p.s. if this helps plz make this ur best answer

Do not scrub your nose so much, allow the natural oils to lubricate the skin, wash clothes are made to exfoliate the skin, IE, peeling.
Once your face heals, use a natural face cleanser (with only your hands ) and a anti bacterial moisturizer, if you have a dermatologist as them for more clinical advise. This site should lend some insight : http://www.mothernature.com/Library/bookshelf/Books/16/199.cfm

You could have a build-up of lotion, etc. Try using a facial scrub each day in the shower.....it'll get rid of the 'peeling' and you'll love how your makeup goes on more smoothly. I use the ST. Ives apricot facial scrub. It will NOT hurt your skin - my dermatologist says it's fine to use daily & I have fairly sensitive skin (as long as you are not using a prescription cream on your face).....

Also, a prescription (tri-luma) is great, but it's about $100. You use it daily, & it does make your face peel for a while, but it makes your skin GLOW & fades spots (freckles)!

I hope this helps!!

Use an exfoliating facial cleanser every day (Dove makes a good one) and make sure to put moisturizer on after even if you dont feel like you need it. You should see improvement within a week!
