Pictures would be great. Ideas for do-it-yourself hair styles for shoulder length fine hair. Want to look good, not trashy.

Thanks

a cute sleeveless top, maybe beaded or a sheer top w/ a cami underneath and black skirt or pants, whatever makes you comfy and a sloppy updo for the hair

Any solid black dress you find flattering will be great! Something that looks good on someone else may not look good on you. If you have a Nordstrom's nearby, they have personal shoppers for free to help you. If you tell then what you told us they will bring out some suggestions for you to try on that they think will flatter your figure. If you cannot afford the dress that looks best, thank the lady and go buy a similar dress in a store that you can afford! If you don't want to look trashy, keep makeup and accessories to a minimum and keep everything covered (a slight clevage is ok). As far as hair goes, a simple pretty barette or hair band is all you need. HAVE FUN!!!

Knee length pencil or tulip skirt, nice top that flatters your coloring, and a pair of mid to high heels, but no more than 3 1/2".

For your hair, I have no idea since I don't know your face shape or hair type. Try a virtual makeover to get an idea how different styles will look on you.

Anything goes in Vegas. One of the few places where a 40ish woman can wear whatever she wants to and can get away with it. Wear that sexy little number that you've been dying to but have been too self conscious to put on. GO FOR IT! This is fantasy land, so live out your fantasies and ENJOY! Have fun. Be sure to leave your sweats and tennis shoes at home!
