Is there a difference?
In particular when someone is describing the looks of a female.

The dictionary has the terms as interchangable, but in reality, people think that "cute", "pretty" and "beautiful" are different levels of attractive. Correct???

What you say???

To me,
"Very cute" implies a degree of sweetness in looks. It's not necessarily sexual in attraction, but more of an innocent appreciation of the appearance.
"Very pretty" is saying that you like the way the woman looks, and you are attracted to her. But it's not a woman who takes his breath away, or leaves him panting after her.
"Very beautiful" is saying that the woman has the guy in a state of wanting. He's infatuated with her, and he finds her to be one of the most attractive women.

Just my opinions :-)

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder so what is cute to one person may be beautiful to another. Also the more alcohol one drinks ugly can morph to cute to pretty and so on.

Cute is attractive but not beautiful, in my opinion. You would not describe someone who is cute as "gorgeous" though. I wondered the same thing. People always describe me as cute, or striking, but never beautiful. That's good enough for me!

in women, this is how I see it.

very cute: usually petite, short hair and looks quite young. can be a little girl to a young woman

very pretty: more adult looking, usually longer hair that is styled.

very beautiful: good looking mature woman with all the right curves, anywhere from mid 20's to a woman in her 30's to 40's classy with a sophisticated look.

yeah well if someone is cute they aren't considered pretty and if someone is pretty they are not beautiful. Beautiful is like drop dead gorgeous.

To me its based on your age:

If you're a kid, then you're cute.
If you're a teen, you're pretty.
And if you're a woman you're beautiful.
