I know an option that might help: There is a new program called Torpark. It is kind of a combination of the Tor proxy app (which might be easier, and you might want to hunt down and try first) and the Firefox browser. You can load it on a thumb drive, and run it from there. Use it on any computer you can plug a thumb drive into. Sometimes it has a hard time getting onto the Tor network though.

This bundle runs straight out of the box - If you want to bypass web filters or proxy servers blocking any site, you can use Opera with Tor to safely and anonymously view or download whatever you want, because it uses the Opera (Internet Suite), so its really, really fast and the Tor network leaves no trace or history.

Plus This Opera Tor Bundle can be run off any disk: USB, network drive or hard drive.

It's basicially a pre-configured bundle and optmized with the Opera Browser, The Onion Router and Privoxy. Just Run: Tor, Privoxy and Opera or click on "Start" in the bundle folder and freely surf away.
