Is there a programme that is almost 100% safe for downloading music or are file sharing programmes as risky as eachother??? Also I'm looking for a free one!
At the moment I'm using Limewire but apparently its not very safe and also its slows down my compute so is there maybe a better one?
Thanks

limewire is safe and also better than imesh and kazaa as you always pick up viruses from kazaa, use lime wire and search for the proffesional version like I did and then it won't cost you a cent which was the 1st thing I done after I downloaded the free version and as long as you pick what you want or need you shouldn't end up with any virus or spyware on your computer, and to make your computer run faster shut off your upload speed which you will find under tool/options task bar, need any information email me with your email address and I can guide you through it.

The only safe ones are the ones you pay for. The supposedly free sites contain a multitude of viruses. Check out MSN Music.

Try BearShare. It's free and save p2p, but you can pay for premium version. You should search music precisely, and choose only songs with many seeders. That's should protect you from viruses. And, of course, you need a good antivirus, like Kaspersky.

look at torrent sites. These tend to be by invertation only these days but do have open days from time to time. If users break the rules they get kicked off the site so everyone does their best to give only good stuff.

What do you expect for FREE???????

No there are no safe FREE downloads. Take your chances of infecting your computer at the same time for being in posession of pirated software and music.

$250,000.00 fine!

Is it worth it?
